Trade Fair guidelines

Many of the schools arrange Trading opportunities for their own companies, and allow other schools to attend.

The Corn Exchange, Harewood Craft Fair and other venues in Leeds often allow Companies to exhibit and trade.

LEAP arranges Trade Fairs in December and February at The Merrion Centre, which proved a marvelous opportunity last year.  There is a nominal charge of £10 to cover the cost of transporting the tables and publiscising the event with the public.

You should encourage friends and family to support your trade fair appearances and trading.

What is provided at a LEAP Trade Fair?

We provide a table of approximately 1.75 metres by 0.75 metres and it is necessary for you to supply any table covers or display boards that you want to use.  Photographs of typical Trade Stands are shown on the Photographs link.

It is unusual to have power available, but if it is absolutely essential for your company then we will try to arrange a location near to a suitable power socket [limited].  There is plenty of light at the venues.

note: if you particularly want fairy lights or similar display aid then you could use battery driven lights as many companies have done in the past.

At the LEAP organised Trade Fairs there will always be a LEAP Board member available, they will have a copy of the risk assessment, details of who has registered, and they will be judging your Marketing for the Marketing Competition.
