Competitions 2009/10

You will have the opportunity of entering the following competitions.

1. Marketing at Trade Fairs - judged from all
    trade fairs organised by LEAP.  
                                           
2. Presentations - to be held on
    Sunday 28th  March 2010.                             

3. Report - Friday March 19th deadline

Each of the above competitions is a stand alone competition and we will select [at least] the top four companies from each of these competitions and invite them to attend the finals on Tuesday 27th April 2010 and the winners of each of these competitions will be announced at the Annual Awards in Thursday 6th May 2010.

At the finals we will judge:-

4. Best Trade stand at the Finals 
    [announced at Annual Awards]
5. Best Presentation at the Finals
    [announced at Annual Awards]
6. Best Administered Company    
    [announced at Annual Awards]
7. Best Company in LEAP             
    [announced at Annual Awards]

Note: 6) and 7) will include information gathered throughout the year by all the judges [including Business Plan, Trade Fairs, Meeting Minutes, Report and Advertising and will not be solely based on the finals].

During the year there will also be competitions for:-

8. The most Media Aware Company

9. The most innovative product or
       marketing technique

To enter these competitions you should submit a short report by the date of the finals [although you do not need to be in the finals to enter these competitions] detailing why you think your company should win either of these awards.

10. The Best Trade Stand at Merrion Centre
      [judged by the Merrion Centre on February
                                                        13th 2010]

The LEAP Board will also give awards for the following, based on ours and the teachers and volunteers experiences.

11. The Spirit of Enterprise

12. The most improved Company or Student

13.  The Best Company Logo     

14.  The Best web site    [teachers judging]

15. Various other Special Awards as the LEAP Board think appropriate to recognise particular effort or skills exhibited by companies or individuals.

16. Best Green Credentials of Company or product

17.  Best Business Plan                

18.  Best Trade Stand at the Annual Awards
